Whether we generate it ourselves, or pick it up from others, anxiety and fear can start to control our emotions and cause our energy to spin out of control. It is important to slow this down in order to refocus, and get out of the mental grinding and emotional looping.
Procedure: Close your eyes and notice where in your body the spinning is happening. Generally it happens in the stomach or Solar Plexus area. Gently place your hand on that area. If you can detect the direction of the spin, start to circle your hand very, very slowly in the opposite direction. If you can’t tell the direction of the spin, don’t worry, just circle your hand counter-clockwise. Now, pay attention to your breathing until you are centered and back in your body.
